Asa Maynor was the ex-wife of Edd Byrnes, a native of the United States, he became famous as the lead actor of the hit TV show 77 Sunset Strip.

His 1978 picture Grease starred him as Vince Fontaine, a TV adolescent dance show host, and his single "Kookie, Kookie (Lend Me Your Comb)" (co-written with Connie Stevens) reached number one on the charts.

Asa Maynor was born on September 22, 1936 in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. She began her acting career at a young age, appearing in local theater productions and eventually making her way to Hollywood.

Being a spouse, Vincent and Jo-Ann were his siblings. After Edd's violent and drunk father passed away when he was thirteen years old, he decided to change his last name to Byrnes in honor of his maternal grandpa, Edward Byrne.

Byrnes' parents were Mary (Byrne) and Augustus "Gus" Breitenberger, and he came into this world in the Big Apple. Vincent and Jo-Ann were his siblings.
