Husband's criminal career

Agnello was charged with criminal mischief on February 5, 1994, for causing damage to a police scooter. His numerous run-ins with the law, Agnello managed to evade serious consequences for his actions. An investigation was conducted.

Cars that were parked outside of Agnello's scrapyard were being issued tickets by the police. His violent outbursts and disregard for authority only seemed to escalate over time, showcasing a pattern of behavior that was both erratic and dangerous.

After coming out to quarrel with the officer, Agnello started his Ford Bronco and struck the police vehicle, which caused it to move 15 feet (4.6 meters) down the street. Despite the dropped complaint by the former employee, it was clear that Agnello's violent tendencies were becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.

In June of 1994, Agnello and several Gambino members engaged in a brawl with law enforcement officers outside of the same site, all for parking tickets.

He was jailed once more as a result of this altercation. Assault charges were brought against Agnello on June 6, 1997, after he was arrested for allegedly hitting a former employee with a telephone. The victim eventually decided to withdraw the complaint.
